it's already pumpkin pie time

We went to Earl's for dinner tonight - George had the cheeseburger, of course, and I had their feature mushroom glaze chicken with seasonal grilled veg and mashed potatoes. My seasonal veg included my second favorite vegetable - beets. First thing we noticed on the feature menu was the Pumpkin Pie & whipped cream dessert. I almost wanted to order it directly. Needless to say, we were much too full to even share one piece. What a shame :(

So this weekend I'm making pumpkin pie tarts. I'm pretty sure I can lure some visitors over.
